Abstract

This article is dissertation fruit developed in Master Course of the Graduate Program in Communication from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). We conducted a mapping documentaries with gay characters, gay, bisexual and transsexuals produced in southern Brazil between 2000 and 2014. The study aimed to analyze the representations LGBT, trying to understand to what extent these films share narratives / queer aesthetic. it could be note that 19 documentaries analyzed exploit the following themes: memory / history, generation and aging resistance and discrimination, and Finally, sociability spaces. A range of documentaries engaged in the political incorporation of another abject in a gendered citizenship, sexual and heteronormative. On the other hand, a group of experimental documentaries (performative, poetic and Reflexive) willing to break with and intelligibilities cultural normativities sex / gender.
