The article presents a case study on the performance of Brazilian celebrities during the first month of the Covid-19 pandemic. Posts from artists Anitta, Maisa, and Larissa Manuela on Instagram were analyzed during two moments of 2020: between 01 and 10 March and between 21 and 31 March. In dialogue with studies on the celebrity culture and reconfigurations in digital environment, we seek to understand what kind of changes occur in the performances of these young women. It is concluded that the three adopt discursive strategies to negotiate their privileged condition while trying to approach the public in the context of the pandemic, reducing the glamorous aspect of their exhibitions.
