Entertainment, utopia and the mitigated speech

This study elaborates on the role of entertainment in the consolidation of a utopian imaginary. It examines the role of metaphoric discourses in mythic allegories and other symbolic contents as those produced by films and soap operas. It also distinguishes between existential and experiential utopias and shows the relevance of subtle messages in the consolidation of political motivation of the people.Downloads

Conflicts of interest and research ethics

The copyrights belong exclusively to the authors.
