Abstract

The present marked by a movement of scientific knowledge paradigm shift puts ecology at the heart of power relations. This article reflects on the social and cultural factors that hinder conflicting democratic practice of representing environmental issues through journalism and their cultural identity, relationship with science and society in post-colonial times. Thought that understands the importance of environmental information, on television, as a motivating the debate among social actors in the social context of the Portuguese language, which evokes an environmental television journalism as a discursive practice of translation between knowledge in the public sphere.
