Abstract

The increasing rates of the presence of fans of television's fictional series is a stimulating field of study, with particular atention towards the communcational practices of television fans, in connection with the production of fictional series. In this article, we present the preliminary results of an analytical exercise on one of the dimensions of such a phenomenon, i.e., the engagement of fans in the process of social construction of the beliefs on the authorship of brazilian "telenovelas". This research is driven by the principles of the method of the sciences of the the works of art (by Bourdieu), and it establishes a continuity with brazilian researches about authorship of "telenovelas". The results of the analysis of two discussion groups in the internet indicate that the interaction of "telenovelas'" writers/authors with the fans and the debate about the qualitative criteria of such fictional programmes tend to colaborate on the reproduction of the beliefs in the authorship of the screen writer-author of brazilian "telenovela".
