Ontology of journalism: knowledge work and news praxis in times of crisis

The text presents the existing mediations between the work of the journalist and his product, the news, having in ontological criticism of Lukács the fundamental axis of the understanding of journalism in capital structural crisis times. To do so, it discusses the specificity of journalistic work in a context of precariousness of its activity and its relation to the crisis that plagues this social form of knowledge. In this sense, when discussing news praxis and its value of social use, we can not ignore the mechanisms of estrangement established in the moments of production, circulation and reception of this narrative, which makes us evaluate the actuality of its power to desreification of reality.Downloads

The copyrights belong exclusively to the authors.
