Abstract

We discuss in this article aspects of the policies of visibility and the activist aesthetic articulated by the Brazilian drag, Pabllo Vittar, pointing out as key of reading the interweaving between subjectivity and remix culture. The modes of presence and forms of resistance identified in Vittar's public performance also point to a peculiar mode of drag-activism that negotiates and transcends the boundaries of genre and musical styles. Post-peripheral, the singer transits through the interstices of urbanities and technicalities.
