Abstract

This article analyzes discursively the functioning of journalistic coverage in two news applications: one national (UOL, linked to the Folha group) and another international (Le Monde). With the theoretical-methodological support of the French Discourse Analysis, the main objective is to demonstrate how the current mode of circulation of news produces effects on the registers that crystallize themselves in the discursive memory. The data analyzed demonstrate that the characteristics of the contemporary discursiveness, with emphasis on detachment, contribute to the production of fragmented discursive memories, but still with some control by the media.
