Abstract

Girls and boys, in the journalistic discourses, have been represented by stereotypes, which can be summarized in a dichotomy: the innocent, who should be protected, and the delinquent, who is threatening. The "invasion" of researcher Robert Kelly’s children during an interview granted to the TV channel BBC had great repercussion, generating discussions on paternal and foreign ste-reotypes, but also bringing an unexpected representation of the childhood, in which the play dis-turbs the seriousness of the narrative journalism. Through the French Speech Analysis bias, we realized that the "invasion" breaks the communication contract established in the interview, which could explain its repercussion.
