This article proposes an analysis of the characters ‘Preta’ and ‘Foguinho’, presented, respectively, in “Da cor do pecado" and "Cobras & lagartos", both soap operas aired on Rede Globo de Televisão and written by João Emanuel Carneiro. Our main question is: what is the black identity model created and spreaded out everyday by the brazilian serial fiction? Adopting a critical perspective, focused in emission, we will try to analyse the faults and contributions of brazilian soap operas, relating to the representation of black identity.Downloads
