This article discusses the production, circulation and repercussion in the press of the fictional feature film A esposa do solteiro (Carlo Campogalliani, 1925), whose title in Argentina was La mujer de medianoche. As the whereabouts of a complete copy of the film are not known, the motion picture press and photographs of the film were used as the main sources. It is a pioneering production between Brazil and Argentina, involving professionals of Italian origin Paulo Benedetti, Federico Valle, Carlo Campogalliani and Letizia Quaranta, which points to ways of internationalization even in still incipient cinematographies.
