The purpose of this article is to discuss journalism as a domain that promotes the revictimization of women who accuse men of violence. Supported by a theoretical framework of anthropological, historical and philosophical studies on gender and emotions, we argue that this modus operandi of journalism works as a link to what we call the communicative chain of misogyny. The reflection is based on a case study involving articles from the portal G1 on the accusation of aggression made by Poliana Bagatini, in 2017, against the singer Victor Chaves (her husband at the time) and the subsequent conviction of the accused, in 2020. The methodology is based on framing theory and the Bakhtinian understanding of discourse.
