Abstract

This papers intends to locate part of the Brazilian Northeast musical production as held inside of the mainstream of the regional music market. These musical practises – axé, brega reggae and forró – are highly spread in society, getting a level of consumption with exceeds the limits of the classification “independent”. So, these musical universes articulate some sets of values and symbols adressed explicity to the young public and associated to the ideas of party-love-sex, with great commercial success.
