Abstract

This article has the objective of discussing the relation between adolescents and violence shown by the media, especially on television. The analysis is based upon a quali-quanti research format, which included the utilisation of questionnaires and focus groups for 60 primary school students in the cities of Fortaleza, Quixadá and Aracati. It seeks, from this perspective, to evaluate the way adolescents face this problem and their understanding of the possible implications that originate in contact with violent media content..
