Abstract

This article attempts to determine the qualities and characteristics of a specific type of cinematic representation that makes extensive use of computer-generated images. It is considered that the use of such an imaging technique is a good indicator of a new stage of the representative system in which the image takes up new and privileged space. Still in this direction, and is in line with the new status of pictures, new peculiarities in the construction of reality that discussed the issue of realism. From these new constructions of reality and the new status of the image, it is proposed an outline of the definition of a new style of representation called hyper-realism.
