Abstract

This article aims to discuss ways of involving viewers in television programs that support the ideal of public debate in order to discuss the democratic role of television journalism that aims to fulfill. It discusses the centrality of conversation as a practice for training and public expression of the will in the perspectives and deliberacionistas republican democracy. It seeks to demonstrate, from the contribution of cultural studies, broadcast journalism that still presents itself with authoritarian and exclusive relationship to the insertion of the conversations made public at the scene.
