Abstract

This work analyzes "On the Road - Truck Driver’s Life", of Rural Channel, trying to demonstrate the senses of the program and its language strategies in two distinct seasons. Also, as the project relates to certain matrixes of the imaginary constructed by the television media about Rural areas and what dialogues establish with the Agribusiness valorization movement in the context of the "new Brazilian rural". In "On the Road", the focus on the trucker rework features of the "road movie" and seeks to update the discourse of unknown Brazil that works. It thus reinforces a homogenous and schematic view of the countryside, keeping its complex reality far from the perception of the urban world
