Narrativas sobre o golpe no Brasil: acontecimento, jornalismo e disputas de sentido

Abstract

Ancorados em acontecimentos políticos brasileiros recentes – o impeachment de Dilma Roussef e os processos judiciais que levaram à condenação e prisão do ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva – refletimos sobre disputas de sentido e jogos de poder que envolvem os gestos de narrar jornalisticamente os acontecimentos. Metodologicamente, analisamos notícias recolhidas dos sites Uol e Jornal GGN, adotando como procedimento entrecruzamentos possíveis entre narrativas e acontecimentos. Da análise emergem disputas de sentido na definição dos acontecimentos políticos que contrapõem a noção de golpe contra a democracia à de ações políticas e judiciais pautadas por princípios constitucionais.

Professor do Departamento de Comunicação Social da UFMG, na graduação e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação, onde desenvolve pesquisas sobre Jornalismo, Narrativa, Divulgação Científica, Aids, Homofobia e Relações de Gênero, com financiamento da Capes, da Fapemig e do CNPq. É um dos coordenadores do Grupo de Estudos Tramas Comunicacionais: Narrativa e Experiência, com artigos publicados em periódicos e capítulos de livros, além de livros publicados individualmente, em colaboração e como organizador.
