Sexual assault is the main type of violence against girls in Brazil. Despite constitutional guarantees, in 2024, the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill that equates abortion with the crime of homicide. This article aims to analyze the conversations about the bill, mapping the comments on the post made by Representative Sóstenes Cavalcante on Instagram on June 16, 2024. It adopted the Social Network Analysis methodology, performing data scraping and processing. The comments were analyzed, revealing that the narrative disputes unveil different interpretations of “childhood” and the politicization of girls' bodies in an election year in Brazil.
