The article proposes an analysis of the relationship between the cultural industry and the advancement of information and communication technologies (ICTs), notably in light of the ideas of Walter Benjamin, Theodor Adorno e Günther Anders, through a bibliographical research. Among the contemporary phenomena and trends investigated it has been highlighted the loss of reference and historical memory, given the assertion of presentism; the confrontation with the notion of objective truth; the processes of data extraction and eye capture; and the emergence of new image paradigms that advance the aestheticization of politics.
